The four public messages explain Rihani's efforts during World War One to support the Allied Powers as part of his duty as a citizen. He calls on fellow Arab-Americans to support the Allied Powers, terming it an act of freedom and democracy for one "supreme national purpose to which every social and political philosophy must submit." The author also explains the role he played in Mexico where he met with Lebanese, Syrian, and other Arab emigrants to uphold the principles of freedom and democracy.
